Young Innovators

According to its innovative strategy, the Public Foundation of Enterprising Centre started a new programme called "Young Innovators" in April. The program aims to call the universities’ attention to innovation and support the students in achieving their innovative ideas. The program provides infrastructural conditions for the applicants (12 people) in order to work out their innovative ideas.

The program is supported by the Central-Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Non-profit Company and the National Office for Research and Technology.

Frequent questions:

Do I have any opportunities to co-operate with my former university professor as a consultant?

Yes, you do. If you have a proposal, please, submit it together with the application form.

Which topics does the consultancy include?

The topics will be determined due to the applications submitted. In advance, we are counting on regional themes: IT, geo-informatics, technological design, product and service development, engineering industry and electronics. Of course, we are waiting for other ideas.

What happens if an applicant finds or searches for a job during the term?

We have calculated on applicants who are employed. Of course, they will take part in less teamwork, which needs more personal consultations, but more virtual methods. In this case, we will make contact with the employee (in case of the applicant’s contribution) to ask for his support for the success of the program. This also means, however, we will make agreements for the first 6 months of the program, that the program can be paused, finished or continued partially (in case of rational reasons).

Do I need to have a finished idea to be able to submit my proposal?

The program adjusts to the needs in flexible way, thus you can take part in the program either you have a finished version or only a basic idea. Of course, every applicant will receive support and consultancy with the available level.

What is the deadline of submission?

There is a continuous submission.

Is there a possibility of taking part in the program more frequently if I am unemployed? Will all my travel expenses be paid?

If you are unemployed, you can take part in the program every day as the travel costs will be supported by the program.

I would like to take part in this program, however, I am going to be an economist. Can I have an opportunity to participate?

Basically, the call for the proposal has been addressed to graduates in technology (as innovation is often linked to this profession and interest). In connection with your question, the answer is ‘yes, you have’. In case of available ideas, applicants with no technological certifications can apply for the program.

If we would like to work in teams, do we have to fill in the application form together or personally one by one?

Working in a team has two ways: You and your group mate(s) have different ideas. These ideas are discussed together under common development and support. Of course, this can be achieved if the ideas do not compete with each other. The other way is when the group mates have already started working on a topic and they would like to continue this work in the frame of the program. In this case we are also waiting for separate applications but you should name your mates you want to work in a group.
